CentOS Web Panel – How to create new email accounts

This KB article is for CentOS Web Panel for shared hosting (end-users).

Emails accounts are an important aspect of today internet activities. We will show you in this article how to create emails accounts in CWP.

cwp email accounts

To create an email account in CWP:

  1. Log in to CWP at your
  2. Look for Email Accounts-> Email Accounts
  3. Click the Add a New MailBox button
  4. Enter the desired name, choose your domain and password (CWP automatically generates a password for you, but you can overwrite it)
  5. Click the Add button. The new email account will be created and you will see it on the list.
  6. To access the webmail interface(Roundcube) go to Email Accounts->Roundcube Webmail

We recommend to use these ports for connection:
– incoming server: IMAP 993; POP3 995;
– outgoing server: SMTP 465.

Create addon domains in CentOS Web Panel

This KB article is for CentOS Web Panel for shared hosting (end-users).

Addon domains are regular domains that you can manage from the same CWP account. If you want to have separate CWP accounts for your domains, discuss this with your administrator.

To create an addon domain in CentOS Web Panel:

  1. Connect to your CWP account
  2. Go to Domains->Domains.
  3. Click the Add a New Domain button
  4. Enter the domain name and the path where you want to have the files, and click the Add a New Domain button.
  5. This is all. Your new domain is configured and you can add files.

CWP MySQL Manager

This KB article is for CentOS Web Panel for shared hosting (end-users).

Nowadays, all sites are working with a database (MySQL, MariaDB etc), so it’s very important to have easy access to create database and database users. You can easily work with these things via the MySQL Manager.cwp mysql manager

To create a new database and a new user:

  1. Log into CWP – yourdomain:2083
  2. Go to SQL Services->Mysql Manager
  3. To create only a database click the Create only Database button. This will create only the database. You can later add a user via the Add User button.
    To create a database and a user with the same name, click the Create Database and User button. Enter the database name and password for the user and click the Create Database button.
  4. To access phpMyAdmin(to create tables etc.) go to SQL Services->phpMyAdmin

How to create FTP accounts in CWP

This KB article is for CentOS Web Panel for shared hosting (end-users).

CWP allows creating FTP accounts via its interface. Notice that your host may block this feature or limit the number of accounts you can create.

To create FTP accounts in CWP:

  1. Log into CWP
  2. Go to File Management->FTP Accounts
  3. Click the Create FTP Account button.
  4. Choose a login, a password, and the home directory and click the Create FTP Account button. You will see the message Ftp account Successfully Created.
  5. You can use the credentials to connect to the server with any FTP client. CWP offers the possibility to download configuration files for FileZilla, Cyberduck and Transmit.
Notice that you already have an FTP account with the same credentials as the CWP account.

How to set up nameservers in CWP

One of the first things you need to do after installing CWP is to set up your custom nameservers – like and

cwp nameservers

To set up the nameservers on CWP:

  1. Log into your CWP installation
  2. Navigate to DNS Functions->Edit Nameservers IPs
  3. Add Name Server 1 and  Name Server 2 with their IPs
  4. Click the Save Changes button. On success, the message you will see is Nameservers updated.
Take notice of the CWP message: Changes made here will apply only on the newly added domains.
