How to grant SSH access to a user in DirectAdmin

SSH access can enabled on disabled from the package options. Anyway, you can also enable SSH access for a single user for example.

SSH access can imply security risks. Also check with the user first why he/she needs SSH access. Many times, the desired action can be accomplished without SSH access.

To enable SSH access for a user:

  1. Log in to DA
  2. Navigate to Account Manager >> Show All Users
  3. Search the user and click on it.
  4. Go to the Modify tab
  5. Check the SSH Access option and click the SAVE button.

Your user has now SSH access to the server.
